Fleet Manager

Job Descriptions

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Working closely with the Director to develop strategies for improved cost efficiency
  • Ensuring that a fleet of vehicles is operating in accordance with legislation and regulations
  • Communicating with Insurance Brokers and organising the appropriate insurance for Drivers and vehicles
  • Assisting with the drafting and implementation of effective policies and processes regarding fleet operations
  • Managing strict vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules to minimise downtime
  • Monitoring Driver behaviour and taking disciplinary action where necessary
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of vehicle inspections and services

Annual Salary range per annum is £30,000 to £38,000.

Transport Coordinator

Position: Transport Coordinator

Location: Wimbledon, London.

Monday to Friday, 0900 to 1730

Summary of job description:

The workers duty and responsibility will be to ensure timely delivery of goods, plan delivery routes to avoid delays, record shipment details, communicate with drivers and deal with client complaints.

The successful Transport Coordinator Duties will involve:

  • Assist with all route planning & coordination with the drivers and suppliers.
  • Administration duties; Job bookings, driver dispatching, Vehicle MOT’s, Drivers compliance and recording proof of deliveries.
  • Update all necessary computer systems and submit report to the service partners.
  • Undertake project work & other relevant duties as and when required
  • Shift pattern; Monday to Friday, 0900 to 1730. Working hours and shift pattern may change but will be discussed with the applicant.

Required experience & characteristics

  • Ideally, professional experience working for a busy B2B transport office
  • Depending on the availability of the above, a professional communication style and background from a business to business service. This can be from either customer service or a position within operational responsibility
  • Personality and able to build rapport with Suppliers / clients and drivers
  • A keen attitude to learn and excited for business and industry growth.

Required skills

  • Transport coordinator experience or relevant environment working exposure
  • Experience of working in Transport and Logistic business.
  • Fleet Management experience.
